Leadership

Introducing Bellrock

They said we were crazy to launch a small business consultancy in Vancouver when we had:

  • No relationships
  • No local track record
  • No start-up capital

But, we weren’t worried. After all, it was autumn 2008:

  • It was the middle of the greatest economic meltdown in 70 years
  • The Olympics were coming and no one would take a cold meeting
  • Our Founder and lead business developer was pregnant

The thing was – we saw it differently.

We wanted to get you the results you deserve. No matter what. Economic downturn was an opportunity to double down on your sales and marketing. A pregnant Founder? That means we understand women entrepreneurs. And the Olympics? Well, actually that was just a great reason to go to the hockey game…but I digress.

We focused on our clients and our families and we grew and we grew. We wouldn’t change a thing.

Except the d@mn name! The legacy name from our origin in Toronto.

You called us “Mercy”.

You called us, “Mrs. I”.

You called us, “MSRI” (but we think that one was an honest mistake).

You even called us a drug resistant staff infection plaguing our hospital system, “MRSA”.

But no more.

3 Marketing Consultants, 2 Lawyers and 9 months later, welcome to Bellrock. Shiny new exterior, same inner core.  We’d love to get your comments (you can now enter them down there. Just scroll down a bit.) But mostly we want to thank you, our friends, family, and five star subscribers for sticking with us through this change and supporting us in our mission to help business owners and leaders get the results they deserve.

Another chapter is beginning…stay tuned.
