DESCRIPTION:Most contractors would agree that starting any project without a clear scope of work tends to lead to less efficient\, more problematic and less profitable projects. Yet many owners do not apply the same principle to their business by spending the time to outline the direction for their company for the years ahead. Have you ever come up against confusion about what the top priorities are among your staff or where resources should be allocated? Does your profit or your revenues fall short of your expectations? Do you ever ask yourself ‘What were they thinking?’ \nA strategic plan communicates a company’s most important goals (mission\, vision and values) and objectives to its stakeholders. Further\, a tactical plan assigns action items\, or commitments\, to team members that will support achieving the company’s strategy. Without the clarity of a strategic plan\, the tactical plan is far less likely to hit the mark. \nThis seminar will involve pre and post session work by all attendees in order to deliver the highest value to participants. Topics to answer include: \n\nWhy do we exist?\nHow do we behave?\nWhat do we do?\nWhat and who should we keep an eye on?\nWho do we serve?\nWhat are my business goals?\nWhat actions will put us on the path to achieving those goals?\n\nParticipants will build a customized strategic plan to take back\, communicate to the key stakeholders in their company and use in their daily operations. This session is designed for leaders of small and mid-sized contractor and construction businesses.
